Field Service Technician

Role Summary :

The field service technician installs, commissions, monitors, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical seals and other equipment in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, nuclear, coal, and wastewater, depending on client engagement.

In this challenging role, the Field Service Technician (FST) provides real-time technical support to our customers, offering recommendations for equipment repairs, upgrades, and replacements. The FST actively engages in troubleshooting and implementing on-site solutions at customer facilities.

Our field service technician team represents Flowserve and is relied upon to deliver world-class services to our customers, creating a lasting competitive advantage for our products and services.

Responsibilities :

• Make direct and on-site service calls in response to customer requests.
• Assess mechanical problems and take prompt corrective measures.
• Work alongside customer personnel and lead work teams as necessary.
• Supervise the complete repair cycle : disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly.
• Ensure successful and timely equipment installation.
• Verify equipment prior to departure and evaluate startup performance.
• Monitor the maintenance and performance of Flowserve equipment.
• Inform customers about proper operation and maintenance procedures for Flowserve products.
• Collaborate effectively with Flowserve support organizations, including repair centers, customer service, and sales engineering.
• Maintain and send organized and accurate records, including daily reports, quoted jobs, completed tasks, and billed time / materials.
• Other tasks as assigned.
