Summary

The Aircraft Refueling Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely fueling of aircraft, ensuring compliance with aviation safety standards, operational procedures, and quality requirements. The role supports fuel facility operations by maintaining accurate fuel inventory records, preparing operational reports, and assisting with equipment inspections and maintenance activities to ensure the reliability of fueling equipment and infrastructure.

What You'll Do

Aircraft Fueling Operations

• Perform aircraft fueling safely and efficiently in accordance with established operational procedures and aviation industry standards.
• Verify required fuel quantities and ensure accurate fuel delivery according to fueling instructions.
• Conduct pre-operational and post-operational inspections of fueling vehicles and equipment.
• Comply with all applicable safety, environmental, and aviation regulations.
• Coordinate with flight crews, airport personnel, and operational teams to support on-time aircraft departures.

Inventory Control & Documentation

• Receive and unload fuel tankers in accordance with established safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Accurately complete operational records and documentation associated with each fueling activity.
• Record fuel volumes dispensed and support fuel inventory control processes.
• Participate in inventory reconciliation activities and report any discrepancies identified.
• Prepare operational reports related to fuel movements and daily activities.
• Verify fuel receipts and document fuel deliveries to maintain accurate inventory records.

Equipment & Facility Support

• Perform routine inspections of fueling equipment and report any abnormalities or maintenance requirements.
• Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Contribute to maintaining fueling equipment, vehicles, and fuel infrastructure in safe and operational condition.
• Maintain work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.

Safety & Compliance

• Comply with company policies, operational procedures, and aviation industry regulations.
• Actively participate in training programs, safety meetings, and emergency response drills.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation required by regulatory standards and internal procedures.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Perform and maintain required fuel quality control checks and records in accordance with the facility's Operations Manual and applicable JIG standards.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance with procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and perform tasks with attention to detail.
• Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must currently reside in Cuenca, Ecuador.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aircraft fueling, fuel handling, airport operations, logistics, or similar operational environments.
• Basic knowledge of fuel handling procedures and safety standards.
• Basic English language skills.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and experience supporting equipment inspections or maintenance activities.
